Andhra Pradesh has approved 25 major projects worth ₹2,01,023 crore, including Reliance’s AI data centre in Visakhapatnam, a large solar energy project, Royal Enfield’s first plant outside Tamil Nadu near Tirupati, and Carrier Global’s facility in Sri City. The initiatives are expected to generate nearly 40,000 jobs and boost industrial growth.
Among the most significant approvals is Reliance Industries’ ₹1.08 lakh crore artificial intelligence data centre project planned in Visakhapatnam. The project is expected to position the coastal city as a key digital infrastructure hub, strengthening India’s presence in advanced computing and data-driven industries.
In the renewable energy segment, a ₹51,300 crore solar power project has also received clearance, reinforcing the state’s commitment to large-scale clean energy generation and sustainable industrial development.
The automobile sector is set for a major boost with Royal Enfield’s ₹2,200 crore manufacturing facility near Tirupati. This will be the company’s first plant outside Tamil Nadu and is projected to generate over 3,000 direct jobs by 2029, marking a significant expansion of its production footprint in southern India.
In another major industrial development, Carrier Global has commenced construction of a ₹863 crore chiller manufacturing facility at Sri City. The project is expected to enhance advanced cooling system production capacity and support industrial supply chains across domestic and international markets.
Collectively, these investments are expected to generate approximately 39,067 employment opportunities. The state government’s fast-track approval mechanism under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has played a central role in accelerating project clearances and attracting large-scale corporate investment.
With these approvals, Andhra Pradesh is positioning itself as a rising hub for advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, and digital infrastructure, marking a significant transformation in its industrial landscape.
